Days 274-280

Day 274
Catching the last rays of the setting sun in the rear view mirror.

Day 275
A favourite shot from my visit to Surrey Lake Park on Saturday.

Day 276
The llth minute of the llth hour of the llth day of the llth month.  Remembrance Day  . . . in honour of all those who have fought, bled, and died to secure and protect our freedoms and those of others around the world.

Day 277
My daughter is in full-on decorating mode . . . I love this little wooden nativity set on the bookshelf.

Day 278
Waiting in traffic in the waning light I was drawn to this street light.  There was a few rain drops on the windshield that produced the lovely little coloured circles in this shot.

Day 279
 My lovely butterfly ring.

Day 280
Got a good giggle when I  figured out this vanity license plate . . . "Run, Forrest, run!"

  1. I love the traffic shots and the simplicity of the 11:11. Always amazed at what you find just by looking.

    1. I see so many things I would love to capture while I am driving but don't have the opportunity to stop and shoot. Thanks for your encouragement, sis.

  2. This set is a testimony to the depth of contentment one can have in one simple solitary life if the 'lens' is focused properly.

  3. When the heart is focused on God's gifts we all get blessed! Thanks for these... I will share will Susie Lippmann as I know she will be wanting to make this nativity.
    your 11:11 is stunning
~ as it is morning, dawn here, I saw your first photo as a drive "to" work rather than on the way home...Jedaiah knows the feeling of Vancouver traffic as he commutes to UBC each day from Coquitlam!

    1. Glad you enjoyed them, Susan. I am sure Jedaiah's commute is a little more challenging than mine as he would have to deal with the much narrower streets in Vancouver. The drive home along the river is quite beautiful lately.

  4. The first photo in this set is my favourite Andrea. This weekend I've been chewing on a phrase that got planted in my head as I worked out some issues through prayer and study. "Look to the Light in the Darkness" is the phrase - I believe a message for me to hang on to for now. The photo fits perfectly since it is a picture of light in the darkness.
