Days 99-105

Day 99
This library building that was once considered an "eyesore" has been transformed into a living work of art.

Day 100
Looking forward to enjoying some strawberries later on in the season.

Day 101
Chubby baby birds visiting the feeder this week . . . mama close by.

Day 102
I am just amazed at the variety of colours, sizes and shapes of clematis vines . . . this one is called "Will Barron".

Day 103
Colour coming in my first rose bud . . . now there are over a dozen.  I can hardly wait to smell their gorgeous fragrance once again.

Day 104
These are what I am eating while I wait for my own to grow and ripen.  So sweet!

Day 105
Home made carrot soup with a swirl of cream . . . flavour enhanced with fresh squeezed orange juice and grated ginger.

Days 92-98

Day 92
I invented a truly delicious frozen smoothie treat . . . 1 banana, roughly 1 cup of frozen pineapple, juice of an orange and 1 cup mixed frozen blueberries and blackberries.  It was so thick and delicious and made this lovely swirly pattern in the blender.  I will be making this again . . . almost as good as ice cream and better for you.

Day 93
 Mother's Day cupcakes cooling on rack . . . my daughter's creations.

Day 94
White petunias basking in early morning sun.

Day 95
Found these happy faces at Art's Nursery.

Day 96
Snail and shell on hardy hibiscus . . . creation's wonders.

Day 97
This fella came for breakfast and was just 3 feet away from me.  I was already outside with my camera and just froze when he landed in front of me.  Carefully raising my camera I was able to get about 5 shots off before he spooked.  Isn't he gorgeous?

Day 98
Blue-eyed grass . . . "Devon Skies".
The flowers close up at dusk each evening and open up wide with the sun.

Days 85-91

Day 85
The end of my 50 lb. bag of onions . . . I used some of the greens in my soup and planted the other two in a big pot outside.  I discovered that although they won't produce onions, they will produce a beautiful seed-head.

Day 86
Spotted Towhee in the neighbours flowering tree.

Day 87
Three small volunteer trees that were growing along the fence down the backside of the house.  Repotted them for my container garden.

Day 88
Temperatures are getting much warmer . . .  so enjoying spring now that it is finally here.

Day 89
Decided to push myself a little more exercise-wise and headed down the lane to go around the block.  Turns out the block is not square and took me 35 minutes.  This lovely branch hanging over the fence caught my eye, as of course, I brought my camera along with me.

Day 90
Beautiful spring day but quite breezy. . . tulips bending in the wind.

Day 91
One of the neighbour kids across the lane created this chalk family portrait.  Yes, that is 6 kids.

Days 78-84

Day 78
Contorted Filbert at the garden centre.  These are supposed to be absolutely gorgeous in the winter and great for clipping and including in floral arrangements.
We want one, yes we do.

Day 79
First bud on last year's Mother's Day Rose Bush . . . "Elle".

Day 80
A quilt I made for a friend who loves purple and cats.

Day 81
New Guinea Impatiens "Grape Crush" . . . a sweet surprise from my girl.

Day 82
A neighbour's flowering shrub features yellow-orange double flowers.
Kerria Japonica . . . thank you google for help identifying this plant.

Day 83
Cool stool at my friend's house.

Day 84
Another day of liquid sunshine in the lower mainland of beautiful British Columbia.
